New Guinea Earthquake Appeal
On 26th February, the remote Southern Highlands and Hela Province of Papua New Guinea were struck by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake. 145 people are known to have lost their lives, with subsequent strong aftershocks killing dozens more. An estimated 500,000 people have been affected. These families are in remote mountain locations, their villages and communities are devastated, communications have been cut and the emergency shelter need is high.
